Morning Sights

July 12th, 2007

Good morning world!  Up early this morning enjoying the cool weather.  The birds are all about… we have Bluebirds and Barn Swallows raising a second round of young for the year.  I watched the Bluebirds flying back and forth to the nesting box bringing insects to the hungry birds inside.  And yesterday morning there was a pair of young Red-tailed Hawks hanging around the pond.  They recently fledged from a nest in the woods not far from the house.  I wish I could share the sounds as well as the sights… the sounds of nature early in the morning are very peaceful.

The sky awakened with the rising sun, shadowing the trees along a fencerow.

The Eastern Bluebirds are watchful as they feed the young.
