Old Man in the Stump

A dry September thus far as summer comes to a close this weekend. I took a picture of the stump I like to check for water level, and noticed later that it looks like an old man looking back! I’ll call him the Old Man in the Stump. The water level was actually over the top of the stump in Spring. I think he’s a little grumpy because we haven’t had enough rain. But cooler weather is on the way… it’s been a hot, dry summer, but a lot of fun too.
I see the old man.
