Hard Woods in Still Waters

“Only in quiet waters do things mirror themselves undistorted.
Only in a quiet mind is adequate perception of the world.”
– Hans Margolius
And yet what is our perception except for that made real by the changing color and context of our experience?
In a matter of weeks, days really, nothing here will look the same…
I always like seeing some of those upside down trees, second only to upside down mountains. With the wind we’ve had the last couple days, I don’t think I could spot any upside down trees or mountains up here.
I continue to marvel at how good your pond looks. Do you have a spring that feeds it or is it just surface water?
Cheers.
Nice shot and lovely water
gorgeous.
can you swim in your pond?
Ed- Oh, mountains! Now that would be nice. How about some upside down corn, or cows? :)
Randall- It does look nice right now; It is mostly 30 acres of neighboring watershed, but it does have underground seeps. I believe it has a spring there, but we don’t know for sure.
Sage- Thanks :)
Chook- Yes! Although we don’t very often. The boy loves to in summer, and paddles around on a raft. Now the dog… that’s another story. He would practically live in the pond, and come to the shoreline for food!
Wonderful photo!
